Soulful Long Lunch
Harvest to Wholefood
FRIDAY 19 JUNE | 11:00AM - 3:30PM
ēthos Restaurant, Alsahwa Estate, Palmwoods Sunshine Coast
Join us for a truly nourishing experience as we gather for our next Soulful Long Lunch ~ Harvest to Wholefood, set within the stunning surrounds of ēthos Restaurant at Alsahwa Estate.
Grounded in the philosophy of Mind. Body. Planet., this special event invites you to explore the journey of food from earth to plate - a story of connection, care and conscious nourishment.
Hosted by our Series Ambassador and MC, Kim Morrison, the afternoon will bring together an inspiring panel of experts who each play a role in this journey. Organic farmer Mitch Bray of The Beach Farm Noosa will share the values, dedication and deep respect for the land that underpin sustainable, organic farming.
Renowned nutritionist Cyndi O’Meara will explore the nutritional integrity of wholefoods, the importance of organic produce, and the wisdom of eating in alignment with nature, as our ancestors once did.
Completing the journey, ēthos Head Chef Mal will offer insight into how he sources fresh, seasonal and spray-free ingredients to create dishes that are both nourishing and deeply considered. He will also share his approach to preparing food with intention, care and connection, along with simple tips to bring more of this philosophy into your own kitchen.
Together, this conversation will uncover not only where our food comes from, but also how it is grown, prepared and experienced, inviting a deeper appreciation for the role it plays in our health and wellbeing.
Our Mindful Moment weaves our Harvest to Wholefood theme into the experience - you will connect you with the ancient wisdom of cacao, it’s lineage, it’s medicinal properties with a cacao ceremony by Spirit Cacao. It will be through cacao, community, and conscious connection that guests are invited into a space of vitality, clarity, and expansion.
As always, the experience will be complemented by a beautifully curated long lunch by ēthos, designed to reflect the very principles being shared - seasonal, nourishing and thoughtfully prepared.
This is more than a lunch.
It is an invitation to reconnect with food in its most natural and meaningful form, and to be part of a community that values connection, knowledge and conscious living.

Mal Meiers
HEAD CHEF, ēthos Restaurant
Mal grew up on the Sunshine Coast, and in many ways, he never really left, that love of place, of fresh produce and open land, runs through everything he does.
Today, Mal leads the kitchen at ēthos on Alsahwa Estate as Head Chef, and it's a role that feels like coming home. Each morning might begin with a walk through the garden, harvesting whatever is ready, letting the season set the menu.
His cooking is refined and grounded at once, classical technique in service of the ingredient, not the other way around. Every dish is built around seasonality, shaped by relationships with local growers, and guided by a quiet commitment to minimal waste.
The goal is always the same: let each ingredient tell its own story.
That clarity of purpose was hard-won. Mal trained in hatted restaurants in Sydney and Michelin-starred kitchens in London, developing the precision and discipline that underpins everything he cooks. Time spent running a pop-up concept across Europe broadened his palate and deepened his curiosity, exposing him to food cultures that continue to inform the way he thinks about a plate.
But it's here, now, at ēthos, where all of that comes together. Cooking that is produce-driven and share-worthy. Thoughtful without being fussy. Rooted in this place, this land, this season.
